Brand Highlight: Why I Love Lovevery!
My brand highlight posts, where I share why I love a certain brand, continues this week with Lovevery! We started receiving Lovevery play kits when Mackenzie was 5 months old. Her grandparents gave it to her during the holidays last year and we are still getting them at 17 months old. We also have other products from them like the play gym and stroller. Let me tell you why I absolutely love this brand! The toys are super interactive for babies and kids, but without any lights or sounds. I know speaking from experience that kids love toys that light up or play music, but after a while it starts…

Taste Safe Sensory Table Ideas for Your Child
I finally got my hands on an ikea sensory table and knew I wanted to start creating sensory bins for Mackenzie to play with. You don’t need a sensory table to do sensory bins, you just need a bin or a bowl! Mackenzie is someone who likes to put things in her mouth, so I knew I wanted to create taste safe sensory bins so she could enjoy & safely play with different textures & things. I decided to try out 5 taste safe sensory bins with Mackenzie over the past two weeks. They’re super simple to put together: 1. Cheerio Sand: It’s super easy to make this cheerio sand!…

Tips for Traveling with an 11 Month Old
We just took our first trip to Orlando with our daughter Mackenzie (11 months old), which also was her first time on an airplane. We stayed at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes and made sure to book a suite, so we had a room where we could put Mackenzie down for naps and bedtime and we could stay up, watch tv, and chat (and not go to bed at 7pm). TIP #1: If possible, book a suite when staying in a hotel and you won’t have to go to bed at the same time as your kid! Also, staying at this big chain hotel was helpful because they were able…

Setting Up My Daughter’s Play Area For Successful Play
One day I looked at over at my daughter’s play area on the main floor and became extremely overwhelmed. I’m only sharing this picture with you because it’s reality. Yes, I’m even embarrassed it got to this point, but it did and now I’m determined to fix it! I realized that in her short little life we have acquired MANY toys, most of which I think are amazing, but as you can see it’s just too much all at once! This got me thinking that I needed to reorganize this in a way so Mackenzie could have more successful interactions with her toys instead of not being interested in them…

My Daughter’s Favorite Toys (6-9 Months Old)
Lovevery Play Kits- We absolutely LOVE these play kits. M loves playing with everything that comes in each box and I’m super impressed with the quality of the toys! There’s a booklet that comes with each box describing ways to play with your child and how to use the toys. 2. Playskool Pop Up Activity Toy– M loves to play with this toy. She’s even at the stage where she’s able to pop some of the animals up herself! 3. Lamaze Flannery The Fox Clip and Go Toy– This is a great toy to attach to the stroller. It has all different textures, tags, and makes crinkly noises. There are…
