Being a Mom Who Suffers From Migraines
A Little Background On My History With Migraines Every day is a struggle for me as someone who suffers from chronic migraines. I’ve been suffering from them ever since I was 15 years old and they only seem to be getting worse as I get older. Honestly, even sitting down to write this post was a struggle for me and I had to take my medicine just to great rid of a headache so I could get this done. I’ve seen so many neurologists since I started getting my headaches and I’ve tried almost all of the medications on the market that are used to treat migraines. What’s crazy to…

Overrated Baby Products
I asked on instagram a few weeks back for your most overrated baby item and I’m sharing them below! If you’re currently pregnant and looking at baby things you’ll need once baby arrives, check out this list for some things you may NOT need to get: *Before I go into why I think these products are overrated, I should note that some items that are unnecessary to some, may be “must haves” for others. Swing- Some babies love a swing and some babies absolutely hate it. This is definitely a hit-or-miss baby product for sure. Boudreaux’s Butt Paste- I so wanted to love this diaper cream, but it’s so greasy…

How To Keep Your Diaper Bag Organized
My house may not always be organized and neat, but you better believe my diaper bag is! I have a few tricks to keep it organized. Some things I can’t live with out that help me keep my bag organized are the Alvababy wet/dry bags & Bumkins waterpoof bags. The first bag holds everything I would need for diapering. I keep extra diapers, a changing pad, wipes, diaper cream, diaper cream applicator brush, & Munchkin dirty diaper bags. The next bag is an Alvababy wet/dry bag that holds extra clothing. I keep a change of clothes in here with socks, a hat, and a 5-in-1 multi use cover (right now…

What Shoes To Get Your New Walker
So you have a new walker…now what? I had so many questions before my daughter started walking and they only continued once she actually began walking. Hopefully this post can answer any questions you have before your child starts walking to help put your mind at ease. First, I wondered when it was appropriate for her to begin walking. She had been cruising along furniture and using a walker since about 8 months old, but was showing no signs of walking. I read multiple places that it’s generally between 12 and 18 months that children start walking. I wasn’t worried that she was only cruising along furniture, but I’d be…

Non Screen Time Activities to do with Your Toddler
I can speak for myself when I say I need to do a better job of incorporating non-screen time activities into our day! When I feel tired or have a headache, its just so easy to turn on Coco Melon and let her watch it! I want to build a list of activities I can do with her instead of putting on Coco Melon and figured I’d share my ideas with you below: + While I think Mackenzie is too young for a tonies box right now, I do think it’s a great activity to incorporate music & stories into your child’s day without putting on a screen for them!…

I know you’re probably trying to get everything ready to bring your little one home and you might be wondering what medicine you want to have on hand those first few months. These are the three meds I used during those first four months with Mackenzie and I found them so helpful to have at home! I also carried around them in my diaper bag incase we were out and needed them! **Always consult your pediatrician when giving your little one any type of medicine, but these are the three that worked wonders for us during the newborn stage! Gripe…

My hope is that this will be a helpful list to first time mamas or anyone about to have a baby! Below are the items that were must haves for me and my friends! Since I’m writing this when my first born is 10+ months old, I figured I reach out to my other mama friends to get their input so I could put together the most helpful list possible! So thanks to all my friends who helped me with this post 🙂 Before Mackenzie arrived I had reached out to my cousins and friend who already had babies to ask what were the MUST HAVES before baby arrived. Who Knew Picking a Baby Name Could Be So Difficult
I’m working on my daughter’s birth story (only 9 month’s later) so I figured I’d first write about how we decided on her name and formally introduce her! I was definitely that girl who had a list of names I liked even before I met my husband. In the Jewish religion we name after the deceased so I was always thinking of names that started with certain letters to honor my grandparents who were no longer here with us. Once I met my husband and we had been dating for a couple of years, I expanded my list to include the letter’s of his grandparent’s who were no longer here…

My Daughter’s Favorite Toys (6-9 Months Old)
Lovevery Play Kits- We absolutely LOVE these play kits. M loves playing with everything that comes in each box and I’m super impressed with the quality of the toys! There’s a booklet that comes with each box describing ways to play with your child and how to use the toys. 2. Playskool Pop Up Activity Toy– M loves to play with this toy. She’s even at the stage where she’s able to pop some of the animals up herself! 3. Lamaze Flannery The Fox Clip and Go Toy– This is a great toy to attach to the stroller. It has all different textures, tags, and makes crinkly noises. There are…

Putting My 8.5 Month Old Daughter On Skis
If you know me then you know how special this was for me and if you don’t know me let me tell you! I have been skiing since I was 3, going to Vermont every weekend in the winter with my family since I was little. Skiing is just in my blood and also why my blog is named what it is. Growing up the drive from Long Island was about 4 hours to our home in Wilmington, Vermont, but back then it was just a normal drive for us every weekend. Once I was moved to Connecticut, the drive became a 2.5 hour drive, which was incredible! Once I…
