My Top 5 Favorites from March and April 2023
Sharing my top five favorites from March and April (in no particular order): Kizik Sneakers: These are my favorite sneakers, especially right now while I’m pregnant. I don’t have to bend down to put them on & they’re also super comfortable. These are definitely one of my top recommendations to anyone who is pregnant, but they are also great shoes even if you’re not pregnant. I plan on getting a new pair soon because I love them so much! Amazon Winter Coat: I know this has been a very popular coat for a few years on Amazon, but this winter I finally got it since I was pregnant. There are…

What I Packed In My Hospital Bag
This was my second time packing a hospital bag & this time I was way more decisive on what I actually needed to pack. Mackenzie’s birth was unlike anything I thought it would be & the entire 5 days we were there I barely touched anything I had packed for myself. I am having a c-section this time around & I’m hopeful this recovery will be the complete opposite than it was with Mackenzie. I’ve attached a PDF for you to download if you want to use this checklist while you pack your hospital bag. I’ve included things I packed, my husband packed, what I packed for baby, & some…

How We’re Prepping Our Daughter for Baby Brother’s Arrival
We are preparing to welcome a new addition to our family & since Mackenzie is currently an only child we are doing our best to get her ready for her baby brother’s arrival. This is definitely not my area of expertise, but I’m hoping some of the things we are doing now will help when he’s actually here (I’ll do another post once he’s here about what’s working & what didn’t work so great!) Books- we have a few books that we are reading with Mackenzie that will help her understand that a new baby is coming! The Baby is Here! (Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood) You’re a Big Sister (here’s the…

Important Medicines To Have At Home With A Newborn
This blog post is for those new mamas and mamas-to-be! I know you’re probably trying to get everything ready to bring your little one home and you might be wondering what medicine you want to have on hand those first few months. These are the three meds I used during those first four months with Mackenzie and I found them so helpful to have at home! I also carried around them in my diaper bag incase we were out and needed them! **Always consult your pediatrician when giving your little one any type of medicine, but these are the three that worked wonders for us during the newborn stage! Gripe…

Newborn Essentials- Baby Products You’ll Want For Those First Four Months
My hope is that this will be a helpful list to first time mamas or anyone about to have a baby! Below are the items that were must haves for me and my friends! Since I’m writing this when my first born is 10+ months old, I figured I reach out to my other mama friends to get their input so I could put together the most helpful list possible! So thanks to all my friends who helped me with this post 🙂 Before Mackenzie arrived I had reached out to my cousins and friend who already had babies to ask what were the MUST HAVES before baby arrived. I’ll…

Who Knew Picking a Baby Name Could Be So Difficult
I’m working on my daughter’s birth story (only 9 month’s later) so I figured I’d first write about how we decided on her name and formally introduce her! I was definitely that girl who had a list of names I liked even before I met my husband. In the Jewish religion we name after the deceased so I was always thinking of names that started with certain letters to honor my grandparents who were no longer here with us. Once I met my husband and we had been dating for a couple of years, I expanded my list to include the letter’s of his grandparent’s who were no longer here…

My Favorite Baby Clothing Brands
There are SO many baby clothing brands out there, it’s kind of hard to know which ones are truly the best! I love Carter’s for good every day outfits or holidays, but I find their sizing to sometimes be so OFF! Also, almost everything is 100% cotton so your little one may grow out of it very quickly because there’s little to no stretch in the fabric. I’ve discovered some brands that should hopefully last you a long time 🙂 In terms of sizing, I can’t be the only person who still has trouble figuring out sizing with all the different brands! Sometimes I order something in her current size…

What Happens When Mom Doesn’t Take Care of Herself
As a mom we often get caught up in making sure everything gets done (dishes, laundry, work stuff, to-do lists, etc) and we end up neglecting ourselves. I did this a week ago and ended up feeling so sick that I was nervous I had COVID (getting sick during a pandemic can be scary)! I started to have symptoms (sore throat, cough, lower back pain) that could have meant I had COVID, so I went and got a rapid test that night and it came back in a few hours and it was negative (thank g-d). I still wasn’t convinced so the next morning my husband and I got PCR…

Why I Started This Blog
I created this blog as a place for me to write about my experience as a mom [a whole 6 months!] I’m hoping it can be a space for me to share all that I’ve learned and things I have yet to learn with other mamas out there. Becoming a mom during a pandemic was scary to say the least. The pregnancy I had in my head was not the pregnancy I experienced. All baby classes were virtual which made it difficult to have a true baby class experience and sadly I was forced to attend many doctor appointments alone. At this point you’re probably thinking, wow this is depressing…
