We are preparing to welcome a new addition to our family & since Mackenzie is currently an only child we are doing our best to get her ready for her baby brother’s arrival. Transitioning our Toddler from Nap Time to Rest Time
I’m going to share below how we’re transitioning our daughter from nap time to rest time (sometimes called quiet time). I’m definitely no expert, just trying different things out to see what works best for Mackenzie as we make this big change in her schedule. She’s just over 2.5 years old and I truly think she’s a little young to drop her nap, but nap time was becoming a stressful time for all involved. She would just lay in her crib shouting for me. Here’s My List of Everything We Need for Baby #2!
We plan to reuse most of the “big stuff” we already have, but there are some things we’ll have to buy new. Here’s my list of everything we plan to reuse: – halo bassinest (We really liked this when we used it with Mackenzie. Semi-Homemade Valentine’s Day Cards
We love to send Valentine’s to family & friends so this year I went to Michaels to see what I could find. I got pretty lucky since I went early January & they had a pretty good selection. Sharing my top 5 favorites from January (in no particular order): 1.Turtle Fur Toddler Neck Warmer– I’ve been trying to find a neck warmer for Mackenzie that wasn’t too big & I finally found one that she actually likes wearing. Comes in a few sizes, fun prints & is pretty stretchy so it’s not too tight on her neck & face. I found the toddler size in this style to be perfect for her! 2.
