How to Make a Handprint Ornament with Model Magic
Sharing how easy it is to create an extra special ornament for your Christmas tree and a great way to watch your baby grow (insert crying face). I can’t believe how small her hand was in September 2020 compared to the size of her hand now!
You’ll need:
+ model magic
+ rolling pin
+ parchment paper
+ circle cookie cutter
+ straw
+ thin ribbon or string
Step 1: Place model magic between two pieces of parchment paper and roll it out to your desired thickness.
Step 2: Use cookie cutter to cut out a circle. Use a straw to punch a hole at the top of the circle.
Step 3: Have child press their hand into the cut out circle (you can do their foot print too)!
Step 4: Let model magic dry and then use ribbon or string to hang it on your tree. A good thing to do is to write the month & year on the back so won’t forget what year you made the ornament!
If you create a model magic handprint (or foot print) ornament, tag me in your posts @mamasfirsttracks or send them to me so I can share them in stories!
