Different Ways to Use Painters Tape with Toddlers
I had no idea you could use painters tape in so many different ways with your toddler! I’m going to share a few different activities I’ve done with Mackenzie over the past couple of weeks. Some worked her bigger muscles (gross motor) & some worked her smaller muscles (fine motor skills).
I used this painters tape from amazon & these animals to do these activities with Mackenzie.
1.Wall Animal Rescue: I used small pieces of painters tape to put the animals on the all. Mackenzie had to stand at the wall and get the animals off. I like doing this type of activity where she has to stand at the wall to complete a task because so many things are done on the ground or at a table.
2. Muffin Tin Animal Rescue: I placed small animals in each muffin tin and put tape over each one. Mackenzie had to remove the tape to get the animals out!
3. Cover Up the X: I just put some ‘x’s on the ground and had her step on them. I would either point to an X or say “cover up the x”. She enjoyed when I played with her and would cover up an X myself! This is great for gross motor play and working those bigger muscles!
Let me know what activities you do with painters tape with your little one!
